Special Webinar: American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 – What We Know Now & What’s Coming Next
The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) was signed into law by President Biden on March 11, 2021. ARPA is the latest COVID relief package intended to deliver a $1.9 trillion economic stimulus aimed at providing financial assistance to employers and individuals affected by the COVID-19 public health emergency. Since March 11th, the IRS, DOL, and HHS haven’t issued the much-needed formal guidance which will provide clarification on the provisions contained in the Act and actions employers will need to take.
While everyone anxiously waits for this formal guidance, Acrisure Compliance Solutions will provide a webinar Wednesday (April 21st) at 2:00 pm ET outlining what we know now and what employers can expect next. We will cover the most significant provisions impacting traditional HR and employee benefits, such as:
- further guidance and requirements for employers seeking to voluntarily extend paid benefits to employees under the FFCRA;
- extension of the employee retention credit created by the CARES Act for eligible employers;
- a temporary increase in the dependent care FSA contributions; and
a 100% fully subsidized COBRA premium for certain individuals beginning on April 1, 2021, and ending on September 30, 2021.
